Once we leave Slovenia we drive north through the Alps taking the famous GROSSGLOCKNER High Alpine Pass Road, the second highest pass in the Alps.  Stay there a couple of days for some mountain walking and some yodeling lessons.....

 

Then drop down into Germany for two days travel to the Bingen - Koblenz area to sample the delights of the Rhine Gorge with a bit of bratwurst and boating......

 

Then up through the vineyards and through Belgium heading home. 

 

But before we re-cross the Channel 10 weeks after we set off we plan to one final stop in Knokke.  The first place that Sara ever went on her very first foreign holiday many years ago.  It seemed appropriate to revisit the scene of her first holiday at the end of both of our longest of holidays.
