The plan was to stay in the Vasiliki and find a self catering apartment.  Sara loves paddelboarding and we are also hoping to be able to do a few days sailing by joining a flotilla holiday with us on a boat for two.  Apparently Greece is the only place left where you can do this without any prior qualifications.

 

Well it seems to be working out pretty much along the sailing lines.  We have managed to get ourselves on a seven day 'flotilla holiday' in a massive 40' yacht with just the two of us amateurs at the helm.  No previous experience needed or offered.  How weird is that?  A bargain price of £1,800 all in for this massive yacht for a full week (down from £2,400 because of our late booking) and the biggest and best yacht in the flotilla of 10 boats, and again, only because we booked late.  All UK couples, all UK staff and instructors.  www.sailingholidays.com for those who are interested.  Sunday 6th May to Sunday 13 May, the first flotilla of the season.  Plantaria - Corfu - Paxos - Anti Paxos - back to Plantaria.

If we survive that then next leg is to rejoin the Beamer and on to Vasiliki for a few days R&R and then Sara gets a flight back home for Fiona's party. I was going to drive solo through Albania and meet Sara in Montenegro but the new plan is for me to wait in Greece until the team are reunited and we will then tackle Albania together.  Have you any idea how hard it is to pass passports out of a right hand drive car when you are alone?  How hard it is to pay a road toll.  How hard it is to carry your own bags into a hotel????  The team must re-form in order to go on in style (the style to which I have become accustomed).

From there its north again to Dubrovnik, Split and another ferry to Hvar for yet more beaches and this time - maybe some clubbing.. 

 

Or not as the case may be...........  Only time will tell.
